BUILD organs of people’s empowerment, or samitis among different sections of the people, in workplaces, educational institutions and residential areas. These samitis are established to:
- Take up problems in their institution/area and attempt to find solutions to these by involving all concerned.
- Facilitate informed public discussion on matters of local, regional, all-India and international importance.
- Contribute towards developing the People’s Agenda that encapsulates the needs and demands of the vast majority who are excluded from power.
- Find ways and means to promote the people’s agenda and bring it to the centre of political life, including during elections.
- Actively defend the democratic and human rights of all people, irrespective of ideological affiliation or any other consideration.
- Oppose all forms of persecution of any section of the people, guided by the slogan, “An attack on one is an attack on all!”
- Combat attempts to divide the unity of the people on the basis of religion, region, caste or party affiliation.
